The Zanzibar Brief

This memorable adventure combines day excursions with your beach rest to provide you with a superb leisure experience. You get to visit the spice farms, the popular stone town and the prison island. This is a great chance to interact with the Zanzibar locals and as well get exposure to what nature has to offer.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha

Arusha has been a crucial city in the history of modern Tanzania. Tourism is a major part of the economy of the city of Arusha, and is considered the largest dollar-earning economic sector in Tanzania. The city is located on the northern safari circuit near some of the greatest national parks and game reserves in Africa.

On your arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be picked from your terminal by one of our representatives. You will then be escorted to your vehicle for transfer to your luxurious hotel. (Bed & Breakfast)

Day 2: Arusha – Zanzibar

Arusha National Park covers an area of 552km2 with a variety to see. The park is located just a short drive from Arusha and Moshi, the Arusha National Park is Tanzania’s most accessible national park and the perfect place for a day trip. It is also home to the world’s largest population of giraffes, making it an ideal place to visit.

Following your breakfast, you will be briefed by our representative then depart with your picnic lunch for a game drive in Arusha National Park. Some of the common species found in the park include the rare colobus monkeys, zebras, giraffes, and bushbucks among others. Later on return to Arusha International Airport for a flight to Zanzibar Island. On your arrival at Zanzibar, you will be picked by one of our representatives from your terminal and escorted to the vehicle. You will then be transferred to your luxurious lodge. (Full board)

Day 3: Zanzibar (Spice Tour)

On this day, you will depart after breakfast for a full-day spice tour. You will learn the life cycle and uses of various types of spices, tropical fruits and root crops. Learning and viewing the typical environment of Zanzibar as well as experiencing Zanzibar village life are among the other experiences you partake. You will later on be transported back to your eco-friendly lodge for dinner and overnight. (Fullboard)

Day 4: Zanzibar (Stone Town & Prison Island)

Following your healthy organic breakfast, you will depart with a local guide for Stone Town. This place is a renowned attraction and Zanzibar’s historic heart, a bewildering maze of streets and alleyways that form the westernmost tip of Zanzibar Town. After your stone town tour you will have your lunch at a local restaurant then head to the shores of Stone town for a boat ride to Prison Island. Here you will get the opportunity to visit the tortoise sanctuary, which contains a large colony of giant tortoise imported from the Seychelles in the late 19th century. For the rest of the trip you can either enjoy the marine life as you snorkel or just relax under the warm glow of the sun, until you decide to boat ride back to Stone Town. Later on you will have your dinner and overnight at your eco-friendly lodge. (Fullboard)

Day 5 – 6: Zanzibar (Prison Island Tour)

After your breakfast, you will relax at the lodge and enjoy both the white exotic beaches and your preferred lodge activities like snorkeling, windsurfing, waterskiing, diving and many more. You will then enjoy dinner and overnight at your lodge for the next two memorable nights.

Day 7: Zanzibar – Arusha

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Arusha. On your arrival to Arusha, you will be connected to your onward flight.
