Bwindi Impenetrable has been for the longest time been the most popular location for mountain gorilla tracking. This experience is quite humbling and emotional. The park also covers a large vegetation of green habitat full of birdlife. The panoramic views of the park connect you with nature in an unprecedented way. Itinerary

Day 1: Entebbe

Entebbe is a city in Central Uganda located right next to the shores of Lake Victoria. It’s on the south-western side of the Uganda’s capital (Kampala). Area beaches include busy Lido Beach, near Entebbe International Airport. The lakeside Uganda Wildlife Education Centre protects native animals in wetland, forest and savanna habitats. Nearby, Entebbe Botanical Garden has diverse plants, birds and monkeys. Also close by is the Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary, which protects orphaned chimpanzees.

On your arrival at the Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by one of our representatives at your arrival terminal. You will then be escorted to your vehicle and transferred to your luxurious hotel. (Bed & Breakfast)

Day 2: Entebbe – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Bwindi Impenetrable is one of the most biologically diverse areas on earth where half the world’s population of the highly endangered mountain gorillas live in its jungles. The forest has been recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization as a World Heritage Site for its biological significance. The park is also known as “Place of Darkness”, the forest is on the edge of the western arm of the Great Rift Valley, only a few kilometers from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) border and about 25 km north of the Virunga Mountains.

After an early breakfast, you will be briefed in detail by our representative on your tour. You will then board your safari vehicle with packed lunch for a drive to Bwindi Impenetrable. Your first stop will be at the equator for pictures. You will then later enjoy your picnic lunch and continue with your drive to Bwindi enjoying the spectacular views. On your arrival, you will be transferred to your lodge for check-in then dinner and overnight at an eco-friendly lodge. (Fullboard)

Day 3: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After your healthy organic breakfast depart with your packed lunch and head out to the park’s headquarters for a detailed briefing by local expert guides and trackers on gorilla trekking etiquette. You will then start your trekking based on where the gorillas were last tracked. The tracking could take you from as little as half an hour up to 8 hours depending on the location of the gorillas and the altitude. You will then have your lunch and if time allows visit the Batwa community for some unique and refreshing cultural experience. Head back to your eco-friendly lodge for dinner and overnight. Day 4: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Entebbe

After your breakfast you will board your vehicle and now head back to Entebbe. On your way off the park enjoy your game drive en-route and marvel at the beautiful landscapes on your drive to Entebbe. After your stop at the equator, you will continue on your scenic drive to the Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight or at your residential hotel.
