Kenya

Kenya is the world’s 47^th largest country with a population of up to 47.6 million according to the census done in 2019. Kenya has a total of 47 counties governed by governors and the most spoken languages are Swahili and English, though there are a total of 42 tribes. The country gained its independence in 1963 from the colonial rule by the British. Tourism has played a major role in the development of the country being the second-largest source of foreign exchange after agriculture. The country thrives in agriculture especially in the production of its principal cash crops which are tea, coffee and horticultural produce hence highly encourages Agro-tourism. Kenya is bordered by South Sudan to the northwest, Ethiopia to the north, Somalia to the east, Uganda to the west, Tanzania to the south, and the Indian Ocean to the southeast. These countries form the East African region including Rwanda and Burundi.

Kenya’s climate varies from tropical along the coast to temperate inland to arid in the north and northeast parts of the country. The area receives a great deal of sunshine every month. It is usually cool at night and early in the morning inland at higher elevations. Its most advisable to visit Kenya between July and October and witness the famous 8^th world wonder; the wildebeest annual migration.
