Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Maasai Mara National Reserve

The Maasai Mara is an extension of the Serengeti National park of Tanzania, and is surrounded by the Loita Hills in the east, Itong Hills in the North and Siria escarpment in the west. Its located about 266km south west of Nairobi which is an approximate of 5 hrs drive although there’s an option of taking a flight. The reserve is 1510km2 in area. You will get to see Kilimanjaro snow peaks, a lovely sight. Game viewing is excellent year round. Game includes: elephant, Black Rhino, buffalo, plains zebra, roan antelope in small numbers, white-bearded gnu, Oribi, warthog, Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelle, hartebeest and the big cats; the rivers are home to hippo and crocodiles.

Depart Nairobi at 0700hrs for Maasai Mara. Maasai Mara is famously known as the 8th World wonder, an attraction that you are assured of spotting hundreds of wildlife species and a possibility of seeing all the big five. The heartbeat is during the wildebeest migration, and opportunity to witness thousands of wildebeest cross the river and into the Maasai Mara from the Tanzanian side of the ecosystem, Serengeti. You will arrive in time for lunch then follow with an afternoon game drive. Late afternoon you will enjoy a sundowner experience then stay in an eco-rated camp or lodge for overnight.

Day 2: Maasai Mara National Reserve

Enjoy an early morning game drive which would then be followed by an organic bush breakfast. You will thereafter be returned to your camp for a short rest before you depart for a mid-morning nature trek. You will then be escorted to your eco-rated camp or lodge for lunch before you board your vehicle for a visit to the local village where you will engage in a local community activity such as beads making or building a manyatta. Enjoy a game drive en-route back to the camp. On your arrival, a mouthwatering dinner will follow then overnight.

Day 3: Maasai Mara National Reserve – Nairobi

You will start the day by enjoying an early morning game drive or taking a scenic balloon flight where you get to experience game viewing on a different angle, literary. You would then have breakfast; after which you will drive back to Nairobi to arrive in time for your booked lunch at a renowned restaurant. You will then be transferred to your residential hotel or to JKIA for your onward flight.
