Day 1: Arusha
Arusha has been a crucial city in the history of modern Tanzania. Tourism is a major part of the economy of the city of Arusha, and is considered the largest dollar-earning economic sector in Tanzania. The city is located on the northern safari circuit near some of the greatest national parks and game reserves in Africa.
On your arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be picked from your terminal by one of our representatives. You will then be escorted to your vehicle for transfer to your luxurious hotel. (Bed & Breakfast)
Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park is located in the Manyara Region. The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River that crosses the park. The park is famous for its high density of elephants and baobab trees. Visitors to the park in the June to November dry season can expect to see large herds of thousands of zebra, wildebeest and cape buffalo. Other common resident animals include waterbuck, giraffe, dik dik, impala, eland, Grant’s gazelle, vervet monkey, banded mongoose, and olive baboon. Predators in Tarangire include lion, leopard, cheetah, caracal, honey badger, and African wild dog.
After breakfast you will be briefed in detail on your tour then carry your packed lunch and board your safari vehicle. Head out for a short drive to Tarangire National Park and enjoy a mid-morning game drive. After your picnic lunch you will continue with your afternoon game drive. The park has lots of wildlife and scenic views of green vegetation which makes the day count. You will then be taken to your overnight eco-friendly lodge in time for dinner. After a long day, a comfortable and lovely stay is all you need for refreshment. (Full Board)
Day 3: Tarangire National Park – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast you will head out for your morning game drive en-route to Serengeti National Park. Arrive in time at your lodge for lunch. Afterwards depart your lodge for an afternoon nature walk and enjoy the stunning birdlife in Serengeti as well as the ecological diversity which has been growing over the years. Later on return to your eco-friendly lodge for a sundowner experience before your dinner and overnight. (Full Board)
Day 4: Serengeti National Park
The Serengeti covers an area of ​​about 30,000 km2 in the north of Tanzania and Kenya, 80% of which is located in Tanzania. The park is famous for the migration involving about 1.5 million herbivores and thousands of predators fleeing drought in search of fresh water and grazing. After the rains arrive in mid-April they make the reserve journey via a detour through the western portion of the Serengeti. Grasslands cover more than one third of the park and you will find many animals here throughout the year.
On this day you will head out for an early morning game drive or an optional balloon safari to experience the astounding aerial views of the landscape and afterwards enjoy a bush breakfast. Head out for a cultural visit and learn about the local culture and conservation. Go back to your lodge for lunch and perhaps enjoy a siesta. Head out for an afternoon game drive before returning to your eco-rated lodge early evening for your dinner and overnight. (Full Board)
Day 5: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
The Ngorongoro conservation area supports diverse variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually be seen here.
On this day you will depart Serengeti after your breakfast and head out to Ngorongoro Crater for your final game drive. Experience the vastness of the land of superlatives and later on settle for your packed lunch at the hippo pool picnic site. Continue on your afternoon game drive then head for dinner and overnight at your eco-friendly lodge. (Full Board)
Day 6: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After your healthy breakfast head out for a drive to the rim of the crater and get a chance to enjoy beautiful sightings of the wildebeests and more wildlife. After lunch you will also drive to the Maasai village and learn about their lifestyle and conservation. Head back to your lodge by late afternoon for dinner and overnight at your eco-friendly lodge.
Day 7: Ngorongoro Conservation Area – Arusha
Depart after breakfast and head back to Arusha. Enjoy the scenic landscapes on your way back to the city and arrive in time for a meal at a renowned restaurant before drop off at the airport for your onward flight.
