Itinerary

Day 1: Addis Ababa

On your arrival at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, you will be met by our representative at your terminal and you will be escorted to your vehicle. You will then be taken for a short excursion to the National Museum of Ethiopia then later transferred to your luxurious hotel at the city centre for dinner and overnight. (Bed & Breakfast)

Day 2: Addis Ababa – Lalibela

After breakfast, you will be met and briefed in detail on your tour by our representative. You will then leave the hotel for your transfer to the airport. Board your scheduled local flight to Lalibela. On your arrival, retire for some rest as you await your lunch. Afterwards depart for an afternoon historic visit with your expert local guide to the rock-hewn churches rumored to have been built by King Lalibela’s consort Meskal Kebra (12th to 13th century). The churches have also been recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site and are located on a renowned small stream called ‘Jordan River’. Afterwards return to your lodge for dinner and overnight. Day 3: Lalibela

On this day, you will enjoy a healthy breakfast at your lodge before you depart with either a donkey or a mule ride to the hill top semi monolithic church of Asheten Mariam and learn some history about this incredible attraction. This hilltop provides an interesting panoramic view of the plain lands of Lalibela including the town. You will then go back to your camp for lunch and take some rest before you depart for your next adventure. Your guide will escort you out for a local tour to interact and even learn the most about their lifestyle. Later spare some extra time to visit the Lalibela market if it’s a Saturday. Later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight. (Fullboard)

Day 4: Lalibela – Addis Ababa

Depart after breakfast for a short excursion to the cave-built church of Na’akuto La’ab which is famous for its wide collection of ancient crosses, manuscripts, and icons. The church was attributed to the successor of King Lalibela and it shelters in a natural cave. You will later return to your lodge for an early lunch. This will follow with an afternoon transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Addis Ababa. On your arrival you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel for leisure, dinner and overnight. (Bed & Breakfast)

Day 5: Addis Ababa

After your healthy breakfast, you will be met by our representative and be escorted to your vehicle for your transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
