Day 1: Nairobi
Nairobi means ‘a place of cool waters’ and the name originated from the Maasai community which inhabited Nairobi before Kenya’s colonization by the British. It is the capital of Kenya situated on the south-central part of the country with an elevation of 1,795m. For the longest time Nairobi has been a popular tour destination due to its rich history and unique attractions. The city serves as a potential excursion hub.
On your arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), you will be picked from your terminal by our representative. You will then be escorted to your vehicle for a scenic transfer to your luxurious hotel. (Bed & Breakfast)
Day 2: Nairobi – Maasai Mara National Reserve
Maasai Mara is one of a kind. It’s the host to Maasai Mara National Reserve which is home to abundant wildlife and the highlight of Kenya; the wildebeest migration. The park covers an area of approximately 1510km2 and is the only destination in Kenya where you can enjoy exclusive aerial views of the wild in a balloon ride. Welcome you to the hub of livelihood.
Following your breakfast and tour briefing, you will depart Nairobi at 0800hrs for Maasai Mara. Then explore the beautiful landscapes of wheat and barley plantations on your way to Maasai Mara and arrive in time for lunch. After a siesta, depart for an afternoon nature walk. Learn about conservation as you enjoy the birdlife viewing and sightseeing the diverse landscape. You will then return to your lodge and relax as you await to enjoy an evening sundowner. Day 3: Maasai Mara National Reserve
On this day, you will depart for an early morning game drive or for an optional balloon safari. Afterwards enjoy an organic bush breakfast and a game drive en-route to your lodge. You will then head out for a tree planting session accompanied with your expert local guide. Thereafter, you will be taken back to your lodge for lunch and follow with an afternoon siesta before you depart for an afternoon game drive. You will then visit a Maasai village to interact with the locals, learn their culture and unpack your ‘pack for a purpose’ items. Day 4: Maasai Mara National Reserve – Lake Nakuru National Park
Nakuru is another of Kenya’s blessed lands. It’s a host to a number of unexplored destinations. Nakuru boasts of Lake Nakuru National Park. The park has large numbers of greater and lesser flamingoes that can be seen foraging in the shallow lake and give the lake an astounding pink look. The park also has many wild animals that can be seen while on game drives. Welcome to Nakuru.
After your healthy breakfast, you will depart Maasai Mara to arrive Nakuru in time for lunch at your lodge. After lunch and siesta, depart for baboon cliff which has superlative views out over the lake then continue with an afternoon game drive at the park and enjoy the abundance in wildlife celebrated in this park. You will then return to your lodge afterwards to relax as you await your dinner and overnight at your eco-rated lodge or similar. (Fullboard)
Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park
Following your breakfast, you will be taken out for a nature walk with a local expert guide. Enjoy the ecological diversity of bird life since there are myriad of bird species that inhabit this location such as the African fish eagle, Goliath heron, hamerkop, pied kingfisher and Verreaux’s eagle among others of their kind. Afterwards go back to your lodge for relaxation and enjoy your preferred lodge activities as you await your lunch. Later after lunch you will depart for an afternoon game drive and return to your lodge by late afternoon for your dinner and overnight stay at an eco-rated facility or similar. (Fullboard)
Day 6: Lake Nakuru National Park – Naivasha
Naivasha is a very popular tourist destination and is located off the shores of Lake Naivasha along the Nairobi–Nakuru highway. Some of the popular attractions in Naivasha include Lake Naivasha, the famous Hell’s Gate National Park where The Lion King movie was filmed, Mount Longonot National Park and the Crescent Island.
After breakfast you will board your safari vehicle for a drive to Naivasha and take some time to loosen up as you await your hot lunch. Thereafter, you will depart for Hell’s Gate National park and enjoy a walking safari and while sightseeing the superb landscapes. Immerse yourself in the rich birdlife and wildlife offered by this park. Some of the bird species and wildlife you may come across are vultures, Verreaux’s eagles, augur buzzard, swifts, hyraxes, African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, hyena, and baboons. The park is also home to serval cats and klipspringer antelope and Chanler’s mountain reedbuck. You will then return to your eco-friendly lodge by early evening for dinner and overnight. (Fullboard)
Day 7: Naivasha – Nairobi
Following your breakfast, you will depart for Lake Naivasha to enjoy a scenic morning boat ride at Lake Naivasha. You will then depart for a drive Nairobi and take a stop at the Great Rift Valley view point, sightsee the diverse landscape and feel the relaxing breeze. Arrive in time for your lunch at a renowned restaurant in the capital. You will then be transferred back to your residential hotel or to JKIA for your onward flight.
