Day 1: Arusha
Arusha has been a crucial city in the history of modern Tanzania. Tourism is a major part of the economy of the city of Arusha, and is considered the largest dollar-earning economic sector in Tanzania. The city is located on the northern safari circuit near some of the greatest national parks and game reserves in Africa.
On your arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be picked from your terminal by one of our representatives. You will then be escorted to your vehicle for your transfer to your luxurious hotel. (Bed & Breakfast)
Day 2: Arusha – Zanzibar
Arusha National Park covers an area of 552km2 with a variety to see. The park is located just a short drive from Arusha and Moshi, the Arusha National Park is Tanzania’s most accessible national park and the perfect place for a day trip. It is also home to the world’s largest population of giraffes, making it an ideal place to visit.
Following your breakfast, you will be briefed of your tour by our representative then depart with your picnic lunch for a game drive in Arusha National Park. Some of the common species found in the park include the rare colobus monkeys, zebras, giraffes, and bushbucks among others. Later on return to Arusha International Airport for a flight to Zanzibar Island. On your arrival at Zanzibar, you will be picked by one of our representatives from your terminal and escorted to the vehicle. You will then be transferred to your luxurious lodge. (Full board)
Day 3: Zanzibar – Selous Game Reserve
Selous Game Reserve was established in the year 1922 and was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1982. The park covers a total area of 54,600km2. The best time to visit Selous is June to October which also ranks as the highest season. The park has a variety of vegetation zones, ranging from dense thickets to open wooded grassland.
After breakfast, you will be transferred with your packed lunch to Zanzibar airport for your scheduled morning flight to Mtemere Airstrip at Selous Game Reserve. On your arrival you will be met and depart for your game drive. Enjoy your picnic lunch at the diverse bush. You will then continue with your game drive for a short while before transfer to Rufiji River for a scenic boat ride. You will experience a true sense of paradise while on your boat journey. Some of the animals you may spot are the hippos, crocodiles and many more. Later on you will be transferred back to your camp for dinner and overnight at an eco-friendly lodge. (Fullboard)
Day 4: Selous Game Reserve
After breakfast depart for a guided walk with a professional local guide and enjoy game viewing while on foot. You may come across wildlife like elephants and buffalos grazing while on your walk. You will then return to your camp for lunch. You will depart for an afternoon game drive after a short rest. Later on you will be returned to your eco-friendly lodge for dinner and overnight. Day 5: Selous Game Reserve – Zanzibar
On this day you will depart for an early morning game drive then return to your lodge for a healthy breakfast. You will then be transferred to the airstrip following your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar. On arrival You will be met and transferred back to your eco-friendly resort for leisure, dinner and overnight for the next 3 nights. While on your stay you can explore the Island by booking optional activities like visit to spice farms, stone town and prison Island. You could also engage in other interesting activities offered by the lodge or just relax and enjoy the exotic white beaches.
Day 8: Zanzibar – Arusha
After breakfast, you will be met by our representative and transferred to the airport for your onward departure flight.
