SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Serengeti National Park is the most famous and the oldest park in Tanzania which was made famous by the movie Serengeti Shall Not Die. The park covers an approximate area of 14,750km full of grassland plains, savanna, riverine forest, and woodlands. The park was established back in 1951 and is located on the northwestern part of Tanzania. It is divided into three regions i.e. Serengeti plains: Where wildebeests graze from December to May, The Western Corridor: Which holds the highest population of Nile crocodiles and its where wildebeests graze from May to July and the Northern Serengeti: Which connects with Maasai Mara National Reserve through the Kenyan border and is the best place to enjoy sightings of elephants, dik diks and giraffes. The park is world famous for its biodiversity and abundant wildlife. The park has been recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site due to its ecological significance and biodiversity.

Best time to visit

January to February and June to September are considered the best times to visit the park due to the favorable weather conditions. Though it is recommended to travel during the wildebeest migration. This adds on to the experience.
