The COVID-19 pandemic should not prevent you from visiting your favourite safari and beach destinaton! Kenya was awarded the ‘Safe Travel Stamp’ by the World Travel & Tourism Council. And we have taken every possible precaution to ensure that we meet the highest standards to safeguard against any infection! Karibu Kenya!
Tourism & Hospitality Industry
The pandemic has sure dealt us all a heavy blow but Kenya’s ministry of tourism has worked extra hard to ensure safety measures are in place for every traveler’s peace of mind. We highly prioritize the health and safety of both our clients and staff. Therefore, we have come up with Standard Operating Procedures to help you have a safe and relaxing stay with us.
Office & Staff Protocols
- We will maintain a register of clients transported or who have interacted with the driver-guides.
- The kitchen, washrooms, lobby/lounge, and the garden area shall be frequently cleaned and disinfected.
- We encourage payments to be done online to reduce physical contact.
- The premises shall be provided with an adequate supply of hand washing and sanitizing equipment.
- Staff will be expected to wear a mask, social distance, and stay clean at all times.
- All doors to the premise and offices shall remain wide open to avoid unnecessary contact.
- Office gadgets/equipment e.g. computers, desks, telephones, headsets are dedicated to one staff member.
- We have provided separate waste bins in each office and at strategic locations to ensure responsible waste disposal with minimum to no contact.
- We have all the emergency contacts in place.
Transfers & Safari Protocols
- Kenya entry visas can be applied for online ahead of travel to limit contact on arrival at the airport.
- International visitors will be required to check-in online at least two & a half hours before departure of flight irrespective of class of travel.
- We recommend guests bring their own pens for signing documents should they prefer to use their own.
- Each guest will be required to wear a face mask throughout the arrival process as long as this is a legal requirement in Kenya. Otherwise, this is at their discretion.
- All our driver guides will have their temperature taken prior to commencing duty.
- We recommend you to avoid physical contact with anyone while on transfers & safaris.
- Sanitizer and masks are available in the vehicle for guests.
- Label your water bottles with your names to avoid sharing or use by other persons.
- Seat covers and floor mats will be sprayed with a disinfectant after every use.
- All our driver guides have been trained and gone for COVID–19 tests.
- Waste bins shall be provided for all vehicles and will be emptied responsibly and frequently.
- All our driver guides have undergone training on single-use plastic laws for all the protected areas.
- We shall encourage open windows when weather permits to allow air circulation in all our safari and transfer vehicles.
- All guests are guaranteed window seats on the extended 4x4 Landcruiser/minibus.
- We will provide packed lunches for long drives to avoid unnecessary stop-overs.
